Micro USB Slave:
This feature allows owners to use their mini PCI-E SSD as a USB Drive. You can now preload your RunCore drive with your current HDD via any cloning or ghosting program. We highly recommend the free trial of Acronis True Image Software as this will save you a considerable amount of time and trouble instead of installing a new OS and all the applicable drivers.

Attention: Only Asus S101 users will be able to take advantage of the USB cloning feature.
Asus 900 and 900A users will not be able to utilize this feature, because the existing OS is set up for PATA not SATA bus, and will need a clean install of the OS. This upgrade is for customers who have previous experience in installing an OS or those who are willing to learn and want to do it for the first time.

IMPORTANT! Please read carefully before attempting to install your SSD.
Do not install your SSD in your Asus EEE PC until after completing the following instructions.

1 Update your Asus EEE PC BIOS.
2 Install the new RunCore SSD.
3 Reinstall your operating system.

If your drive is not showing in the BIOS and did not update the BIOS before installing the SATA SSD, you will need to use the RunCore SSD Re-Initialization Tool to re-initialize the SSD. (Right click the link and Save As to Download)

Step 1 - Locate the serial number on the flash chips on the SSD. Click here for example.
Step 2 - Find this number in the drop down box in Rerunner.exe. Click here for example.
Step 3 - Connect the RunCore SSD via USB.
Step 4 - Leave all other settings in Rerunner.exe as is.
Step 5 - Click start to run the program.

When the program is finished, the SSD should be set to be installed in the ASUS EEE PC as long as the BIOS had been updated before hand. If you are still experiencing issues after trying solution, then please contact us for further support and we will do our best to assist you further.
